BlueVoda is not the only website builder on the block. In fact, it isn’t the only free site builder on the block. So why use BlueVoda? Why use a free program instead of one that costs hundreds of dollars that insures a more professional site? Stay with me here as we set the scene. There are tons of free and fee based software out there with great website tools and web editors. I know what you are thinking. “Tell me something I don’t know.” You asked, and you shall receive! If you were anything like me, you wanted to create a site that was professional, sticky and had style without spending tons of money to get the job done. Another thing we may have in common is the sometimes annoying fact that we research products and services until we are blue in the face and are certain we have the right answer. Let me save you a little time and effort. I compared and used several different website tools and web editors in building the sites that I have created on the internet. Here are some comparisons and head to head battles of the software that I used other than BlueVoda.

Handzon: Want to know something embarrassing? I created a 200+ page website, by hand. I spent 100’s of hours and sleepless nights learning the “simple” process of building a website with a web editor. This, of course was before I knew about BlueVoda. Honestly, I can’t say that handzon’s online web editor did a bad job of creating a website. However, it did cost about $400 more than BlueVoda (BlueVoda is FREE). It was also not near as easy to navigate the website tools that the program offered.

Website tools are what help you to create your web page and modify the content of your site. It is essential that they are easily located and right at your finger tips. Handzon had the website tools (most of them), but lacked the ease of access like BlueVoda. BlueVoda’s web editor has all of its tools right there in front of you. One of the tools that the BlueVoda software offered that I really liked that Handzon didn’t, was the Flash feature. Today’s websites have to have Flash to be catchy and sticky. A bland “no action” kind of a website typically leaves visitors feeling bored and they move on to something that stimulates their senses. BlueVoda web editor allows you to use flash in the creation of your website and give your site the “pop” it needs to hold your visitors attention while you get them to the information that is relevant. You feel like an artist with paints and a canvas ready to build your next masterpiece with BlueVoda.

Lastly, it was more difficult with Handzon for me to set up my PayPal Account to be able to accept payments via my website. I had to find and insert the right lines of code to get it done and even then I had to call Handzon to get help (which they charge you for if you have messed up some line code and locked it). BlueVoda has everything to accept PayPal online payment right on the web editor menu. It allows you to create a website that accepts payments with just a click of a mouse. In a head to head comparison, I recommend BlueVoda for it’s’ ease of use, website navigation, PayPal ease and being free is exceptionally better than paying $400. BlueVoda web editor wins this contest “handz” down.

Build Your Site: This web editor works similar to BlueVoda. In fact, it offers some of the same features for creating a website. Both are free and allow for a generally easy navigation of website tools for editing your website. The difference, however, comes in personality. What difference does that make? Don’t think websites have their own personality? Trust me when I say that websites are like individuals. They have their own style and flow. BlueVoda website tools allow the website creator to install his/or her personality into their ideas and design. BuildYourSite made me feel as if I were in a cloning factory. The pages had some “pop”, but they were all very similar. If it is my BlueVoda site against a “clone” site with no soul, I would put money on the BlueVoda site simply because I am putting money on myself.

The internet is cluttered with websites so it is important to me to make sure I am creating a website that sells what I am about, as well as gets the necessary information to the visitor. I did not use this software to create a website. It was simply one of the ones that I researched when I was creating my website. Visiting their website, and simply watching their examples scroll past screen view will tell how much each site is similar to the next. All web editors are not created equally. BlueVoda’s website tools give its’ users the ability to be unique and stand out above all the other “clone” sites on the internet. In a head to head comparison with BuildYourSite, BlueVoda’s Web editor and website tools will help to create a website with soul whereas BuildYourSite seems to be a carbon copy of all the other websites floating around the web.

I looked at several website creation web editors and their website tools. These three comparisons are very different as is each software website creation program. In my research of a web editor with easy to use website tools, BlueVoda was the best. Paying money for a web editor can make one feel more secure that he/she has chosen a top-notch way to create a website, however price does not always reflect quality. BlueVoda’s web editor is FREE and offers the necessary website tools to get the job done with style, soul, personality and effectiveness with ease of use.
