Key Steps on How to Create a Successful Website

Back when I first made a conscious decision to create website on my own, I had no idea where to start. I have some vague idea on which things I needed such as a web hosting provider and website builder. After extensive research on how to create website and a bit of canvassing, I finally went with VodaHost. But I was stumped after that. I had a great (not to mention affordable) web host, but I don’t know the first thing about website design, and have no coding skills to speak of to create website. Hindsight is 20/20, I guess, but I was ready to give up at that point.

Fortunately, I found out that VodaHost has its own website builder called “BlueVoda.” I figured I would be wasting the money I invested into the hosting account if I gave up, so I might as well try my hand at using BlueVoda.

First things first, I was glad that this website builder doesn’t cost anything to create website. It’s completely free to use. The caveat is that you can only publish the websites if you have a VodaHost account, so technically it is free to all VodaHost subscribers. If you are not a VodaHost subscriber yet, then it costs Web-Hosting Accounts are very affordable.

Unlike the others website builders being offered by hosting providers, BlueVoda website builder is not browser-based. Rather, it is an application that must be downloaded and installed on your machine. This has a couple of advantages when you create website – first is that you can use it without the need to be connected to the internet (this was particularly useful in my case during long commutes just by using my laptop.) Second, and probably more important, is that this website builder being a native application allowed for a robust and stable code when you create website – I’ve never had the application lag or crash once in the many months of use I’ve had for it.

Your mileage may vary, but in my case, I felt that it was specifically made for a person of my needs and skill level. The user interface of the website builder looks very familiar to MS Word’s, so it provided a sense of familiarity and helped ensure that I won’t be intimidated when I create website. Additionally, the UX is minimalist, so it’s very simple and very easy to find the buttons and functions that you want when you create website – there’s no risk of getting mired in complexities. Also, in case I forgot to mention – it’s WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), so everything can be drag and dropped as you create website. There’s no need to learn html coding, though I still recommend learning a little bit if you’re really serious about website design and if you want to create website professionally. If you just want to create the odd site here and there, you’ll be able to use BlueVoda as is without even typing a single piece of HTML code.

As for feature sets, I was pleasantly surprised at how powerful BlueVoda website builder is. It provides features that you would normally not see on free, beginner-oriented website builders. For instance there’s a control panel menu that lets you create a PayPal shopping cart for single item and multi-item purchases using only simple mouse clicks. Others don’t have support for this when you create website and would force you into inserting html codes just to get an e-commerce website started. With BlueVoda website builder, everything is just a mouse drag or click away.

That doesn’t mean this website builder is useless for advanced users, though. I’ve learned how to do a little bit of hand coding over time, but I still go back to BlueVoda website builder when I create website and am able to use what I know effectively. I can also add HTML code for basic search engine optimization such as meta tags or even complex forms and java code. Novice users of this website builder can also take advantage of these features simply by adding and dragging the functionalities as widgets to BlueVoda’s window.

Finally, one of the most useful features of the website builder is that I have taken advantage of to create website in their image gallery, which also contains some ready to use templates. You still need to tweak and add to them if you want your website to come out unique, but novice users who don’t know where to start to create website can use them as training wheels of sorts just so they can get their first website up and running real fast.

All in all, I’m perfectly happy with the website builder BlueVoda and I have never felt the need to find an alternative . It does what I need it to do to create website, and those times when I’m stumped are helped by their video tutorials and the helpful (and friendly!) community that are always willingly provide support.
